Blog Train: Scrap Designers July 2020 – Blue Summer

I love this month’s blue palette, but I just didn’t have time to do much.  I’ve got a few papers (3 solid, 3 glitter, 2 pattern), a frame and a butterfly, and an alphabet for you.  I’ve had to switch my file hosting to Google Drive.  Dropbox just does not work well with my laptop, and unfortunately a new one isn’t in the cards!  So, I’m going to be using Google.  It shouldn’t be too much of a hassle, I hope.  I have seen many other designers using it.

Blog Train: PixelScrapper June 2020 – Kumbaya

“Kumbaya” is an African-American spiritual song that is believed to have originated in the southeastern United states as a plea for God to “come by here,” possibly in response to the horrible oppression those people were experiencing when the song became popular in the early 1900’s.  I don’t really relate to that at all, but the colors in this palette are amazing.  I couldn’t stop!

Blog Train: Scrap Designers May 2020 – Spring of Teal

Hi everyone!  If you’re here on the 10th and you’re in a country that celebrates Mother’s Day today, Happy Mother’s Day to you!

A quick note: I’ll be moving my server in about a week, so the blog may be down for a couple days.  I’ve tried to schedule this move for right between blog trains so it won’t affect too much.

Blog Train: Scrap Twist May 2020 – Kindness is Contagious

Scrap Twist has a wonderful train this month!

Kindness is so very important, especially right now.  I’ve found while I’ve been home with my teenagers, it’s been hard for me to be kind with them all of the time.  I’ve also found that when I’ve had to go out to the grocery store or the car repair shop (sigh), it has been a very mixed bag.  Most people out in public are kind, and follow the rules.  But I’ve found that online communities seem to be getting very snarky, in some areas.  I hope once the COVID-19 pandemic clears up, people remember how they’re feeling and that kindness can be more contagious than a virus!
