Frequently Asked Questions
Purchasing jewelry, even costume pieces, brings up lots of questions. Please read through all of this information, and then use the contact page to let me know if you have any questions.
Ordering
Unfortunately, no. Since I work from home, my lease does not allow me to have business-related visitors at my place of residence. Also, due to my school and work schedule, I can't guarantee I could deliver anything in a timely manner. I'm sorry!
Product Questions
Some metals tarnish, regardless of the quality of the piece of jewelry. If your piece is prone to tarnish, I try to note it, but I sometimes miss it. Almost all clasps will tarnish, so please be aware of that.
If you find your piece has tarnished, please DO NOT use any sort of wet or liquid jewelry cleaner. Those are harsh and can damage the finish on your jewelry, even if it says it won't. Please use a dry jewelry polishing cloth. I use Conoisseur's Jewelry Wipes (this is an Amazon link, but I am not an affiliate so I get nothing if you purchase them!). They are pricey, but I haven't come across any tarnish that they haven't been able to remove, and they haven't damaged any of my jewelry.

My suppliers have stated that there is no lead in any product that I have purchased from them. However, some pieces do contain nickel or other metals that may cause irritation. This is most usually a problem with earrings, and I do everything I can to use nickel-free metal alloys, and ALL earring components I purchase are stated to be hypoallergenic. What does that mean? Well, most of the time that means they are made of metals that rarely cause issues, particularly copper, stainless steel, or other alloys containing precious metals.
Most of my necklaces are sold based on the fact that the pendant is the starring feature. Unless there is embellishment on the chain, it's possible I can put the pendant on a different chain, if I have something else available. However, I don't keep a lot of different chain on hand. You are welcome to move a pendant to any chain you like after your purchase, of course! Please contact me if you have any requests or questions.
I have a large number of suppliers I use for new components. However, I also upcycle old items that I find at garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales, and other places. I can not determine what these bits are made of. When I use these components, I mark it in the description so you'll know.
Returns
No, sorry. I don't take returns based on buyer's remorse or just plain "I don't like it now that I see it in person."
I take photos of every item, and I try to describe them as accurately as possible.
However, if you are extremely unhappy or feel that I have described something incorrectly, please use the contact form to get in touch and I will see if there's anything that can be done. I want you to enjoy your purchase.
If an item arrives damaged, I can accept a return within 14 days of delivery.
If you receive a damaged item, I need to see a photo of the packaging, of the item, and any other information you may have. I do not ship items that are broken or damaged (in fact, I check every connection and clasp before shipping each piece). If an item arrives broken or damaged, it is most likely a result of USPS handling. In order to file a claim with them, they require photographic proof that the item has been damaged in shipping.
Use the Contact Us form to start a conversation, and we'll start working together on a solution.
Shipping
I ship all orders within 2 business days. As for cost... well, that varies by weight. There is a base shipping fee of $5.90. That takes into account the actual cost of postage, plus packaging and the time/gas/etc it takes to drop off packages at the post office. Unfortunately, I can't just have the postal carrier pick up at my location at this time.
I live right smack in the center of the United States. Shipping to other countries is a nightmare right now. With COVID delays, customs delays, and the extremely high cost to send items to some other countries, it is simply in the best interest of my small company to keep my items available only in areas where I can count on delivery and tracking services to behave properly.
